ABOUT

 

THE OWNER/PRINCIPAL:

 Mrs Le Roux has been teaching for 16+ years, of which 10+ years she worked with children with Autism and learning difficulties. Mrs Le Roux left the public school system a while ago to home educate her own children, as her oldest was severely bullied. "Education is my passion and children are very close to my heart."

Mrs Le Roux is currently doing Afrikaans Voice-overs for a new Teaching App.

We believe in quality and affordable education. We also believe every child is unique and so should their education be.

WE OFFER A FEW CURRICULUM CHOICES: WE ARE OFFERING ONLINE LESSONS/SCHOOLING AS WELL. OUR CAPS AND ECLECTIC PROGRAM ARE AVAILABLE ONLINE.

1. CAPS (SA): Same as public schools. We also use Unit Studies for Interest Based Learning. This program is only available till Grade 6. Available as an Online option. Call the office for info about our Online Education.

2. Eclectic: A mix match of curricula. Same subject choices as public schools, but with more self study and research. Available as an option for Online education.

3. We are currently doing research in regard to box curricula and online curricula. We will disclose our choices in due time.

We do have computer facilities available, but we do prefer that students bring their own laptop for online activities.

​

Hours: 6:45 - 14:00; Aftercare till 17:30 MONDAYS TO THURSDAYS ONLY

CENTRE FEES:

Registration fee: FEES ON REQUEST per year.

Our registration fee includes:

1. Some Textbooks (If using CAPS curriculum)

2. Library visits

3. Ink, printing costs, copies etc.

4. Internet/Wi-Fi cost

WE THEREFORE CHARGE REGISTRATION EVERY YEAR.

 

We offer small classes, a safe environment and room to grow.

Extra Classes/Lessons are available.

Preschool Available: Call the school for more information.

Fees apply to mornings only: 7:00 - 14:00 (Grade RR - 3: 13:30), Monday to Thursday. Fridays we are closed.

Aftercare available till 17:45. Monday to Thursday only.

TUCK SHOP AVAILABLE: Lunch: pies, pizza slices, sandwiches, buns;

Snacks: chocolates, candy, chips, fruit; 

Drinks: Cold drinks, Tea, Hot Chocolate, Milo, Water, Juice

PLEASE NOTE:

1. Our fees are reasonable, therefor we ask for all of the stationary.

2. Some curriculum providers ask for an extra Exam Fee. We try to include our exam fees in the school fees (if choosing the CAPS Option). TEXTBOOKS ARE NOT INCLUDED. 

4. Lunch is provided to aftercare students. Parents can make arrangements for breakfast and lunch. Please contact the school for more information.

Grubs for Pups:

Drop pet food off at school for pets that are at kennels like the SPCA and FORA. We will distribute it every month.

 

2018:

Term 1 Project:

WATER WORKS FOR CAPETOWN

Thank you to everyone's contribution with the Water for Capetown Project! We collected over 35000 liters of water!

Term 2 Project:

WINTER WITH WARMTH

Please remember to send all your old blankets and old clothes to school for the less fortunate. There are many people and animals without shelter this winter.

Please send non-perishable food items, including tinned dog and cat food. We will distribute it among Soup Kitchens and Animal Shelters.

 

Term 3 Project:

BUILDING WITH SILVER

Please fill the provided tins with silver coins. We would like to buy Gross motor equipment and Fine motor equipment to improve our children's skills.

CHILD SAFETY

Child safety takes priority at Fish Eagle.

We have well trained staff and a retired nurse on duty at all times.

No child will be left unattended!
